Overview

Teqanah for Computing and Consulting is a Qatar-based software and product company that works with organizations across the MENA region on complex digital builds. In early 2025, they brought Creiden in as their technical delivery partner for a demanding web platform: a multilingual Islamic education and content hub designed to serve a global audience in Arabic, English, and French.

The platform was scoped with a full CMS, interactive learning journeys with 360-degree video support, an LMS integration via external API, a voice messaging system between registered users and the editorial team, a moderated discussion forum, and role-based access control with 2FA across all administrative access. We worked as Teqanah's embedded technical team across the full build: system architecture, UI/UX design, Next.js frontend, Laravel backend, MySQL database, and API integration with an external LMS. Six months from kickoff to launch.

The Challenge

How do you build a platform that makes Islamic knowledge accessible, interactive, and credible for a global audience in three languages?

The scope was technically demanding from the start: role-based access control with dynamic permission assignment, 2FA on all administrative logins, a CMS managing Arabic, English, and French across multiple content types, and a multimedia library with categorization, personalized recommendations, and social sharing.

The interactive journeys were the most distinctive feature: ordered steps with multimedia, 360-degree video tours, and question-based formats. Progress tracks as a percentage of completed steps. The external LMS integration added another layer, with course data fetched via API from a system Creiden didn't control, displayed in three languages, with lesson-level tracking, quiz integration, and certificate issuance on completion.

Our Approach

Six months. Four workstreams. Every milestone shipped on schedule.

Architecture & UX design

We started with the system architecture before a single screen was designed. Dynamic role-based permissions, a content model that handles Arabic, English, and French across every content type, and a data structure flexible enough to link Islamic themes (Creator, Religion, Prophet, Quran, Morals, Civilization, Family & Society) across the multimedia library, news, journeys, and discussion forum.

UI/UX design ran across both surfaces: the public website in Next.js and the admin dashboard in React. Every page was designed in all three languages, with RTL support for Arabic tested from the first design review.

  1. Dynamic role-based access control with per-role permission assignment
  2. 2FA on all admin and manager logins
  3. Full multilingual architecture: Arabic (RTL), English, and French across all content types

Content platform

The CMS covers the full editorial surface: Islamic themes taxonomy, a multimedia library with articles, audio, and video, a news module with category and year filtering, and a converts stories section with individual shareable pages. Each content type supports three-language entry, categorization, tagging, SEO metadata, and a draft/publish workflow with permission-controlled publishing.

The multimedia library surfaces related content recommendations based on each user's browsing history. Every post type can be shared to social media from its public view page.

  1. Multilingual CMS: all content types in Arabic, English, and French
  2. Islamic themes taxonomy linking across multimedia, news, journeys, and discussions
  3. Content recommendations based on user history
  4. Converts stories module with individual shareable pages

Interactive journeys & community

Each journey contains ordered steps that can be multimedia (audio, video, images), embedded 360-degree video tours, or question-based (multiple-choice and true/false). Progress is tracked as a percentage of completed steps. Admins manage step order via drag and drop in the dashboard. Journey scores are tracked for user reference.

The discussion forum supports moderated threads with upvoting, downvoting, and content reporting. The voice messaging system gives registered users one-to-one async voice communication with the website team, with preview before sending and a configurable message duration limit.

  1. Interactive journeys: multimedia, 360-degree video, and question-based steps
  2. Journey progress tracking and drag-and-drop step management
  3. Moderated discussion forum with upvote/downvote and content reporting
  4. Async voice messaging between users and the editorial team

LMS integration & AI

Course data is fetched via API from an external LMS and displayed in three languages: title, description, categories, tags, duration, and ordered lesson list. Registered users can enroll, track lesson completion, complete integrated quizzes, and receive a downloadable e-certificate on course completion via the API.

AI integration connects to a third-party system provided by the client, surfacing content suggestions based on user input and history. Google Analytics integration, image compression to WebP on upload, and captcha protection on all public forms complete the performance and security layer.

  1. External LMS via API: courses, lessons, enrollment, quizzes, and certification
  2. Lesson completion tracking with downloadable e-certificates on completion
  3. AI-based content suggestions via third-party integration
  4. WebP image compression on upload, Google Analytics, and captcha on all forms
Project media
Creiden has delivered a fully optimized website and a robust LMS capable of hosting hundreds of interactive trainees simultaneously. As a result, the client has seen a 99% customer satisfaction rate and 100% compliance in content security. The team delivers on time and is professional to work with.
